Hey

Hey, I'm Balázs, a Hungarian technologist based in San Francisco.

I am building .agent, a top-level domain and identity layer for AI agents. We are applying through ICANN's 2026 gTLD round as a community-backed applicant, with 2,500+ members including Datadog, Netlify, Grab, and CrewAI. I also authored the AID spec, a DNS-based standard for agent identity and discovery.

Before this, I spent a decade working on identity infrastructure in different forms.

I was a Director at the Decentralized Identity Foundation, where we scaled from ~50 to 300+ member organizations and developed core authentication and identifier discovery standards.

I founded a bank for refugees in Germany, a financial inclusion company built in collaboration with UNHCR, Amnesty International, and major European banks and regulators. I was invited to represent fintech at the G20 Financial Inclusion Symposium in Germany.

I founded Veri Labs, building web3 native compliance tooling. I am the inventor on a granted US patent for programmable access control on blockchain assets.

I represented Hungary at the 420 Sailing World Championship in Weymouth, the same waters used for the 2012 Olympics. Years of competitive training on limited funding and infrastructure. Good preparation for startups.

My first venture was borrowing money from my parents to install a table-soccer table in my school at the age of 14. (:
